Today businessmen are well aware that marketing is a vital area for the company, marketing is the proverbial dead his soul for a company. Starting from this awareness was born a new view called the marketing concept. William J. Menururt Stanton, in his book states that there are three main provisions that underlie the concept of marketing, namely:
1. All operations and corporate planning should be oriented to the consumer.
2. Target companies should result in gains in sales volume. So rather than volume for the sake of the volume itself.
3. All marketing activities must be coordinated in a company’s organizational.
Of all the explanations above, it can be concluded that the marketing concept is a prevailing view in the world of business which states that satisfy consumers’ desire is the goal of the company. This view is the basic social and economic life of a company. Therefore, all the company’s activities should be devoted to find out what is wanted and needed by consumers, and how to satisfy needs and wants. From the ability to meet the needs and desires, the company make a profit.
